The hotel is conveniently located near the Smithsonian museums, making it a great base for exploring the city's cultural sites. There are also many good restaurants in the area. the hotel is not close to the Metro, so getting around by public transportation may be inconvenient. some guests mention that the noise from M street can be disruptive. Despite these minor drawbacks, the rooms are clean and comfortable, with good service and a satisfying breakfast. Some rooms even offer a nice view of the city skyline.
The hotel's outdated decor and lack of proper maintenance can be a disappointment. Some guests have reported issues with the air conditioning and plumbing, which can affect the overall comfort of the stay.

The beds were great, and the location was perfect. The room's decoration was elegant. Baked & wired with coffee & goodies is 700 feet walk away. The staff were extra friendly.

location
hotel has gone down since our last stay 5 years ago. nothing has been done to it. Old TV's that had trouble working we had to have them up 4 times, carpet needs to be replaced, leaking sink and shower, door to bath looked like it had been kicked in, lamps had short so hard to turn on/off. Alarm in elevator went off 3 times at 5 am, called desk and he said they were working on the elevator, at 5am and ringing the alarm????In general the facility needs an overhaul. Lobby still nice.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Georgetown. The location couldn't be better, right on the edge of all the action in a place like Georgetown. The staff was friendly and helpful, from the parking staff to the cleaning ladies in the hall. The rooms were clean and the bedding was very nice.
The hotel could improve on the outdated TV and air conditioning.

Location
The hotel was dirty and in need of major repairs. I found one rather large bug in my room and considered sleeping in my clothes because the room felt dirty.

Great Location: The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, surrounded by designer stores and amazing restaurants. It was very convenient to explore the downtown area and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
Tiny Room: The room we stayed in was quite small, with limited space for movement. It felt cramped and didn't offer much space for storage.

We liked the ambience of the hotel, the location, the closeness of the shops, the eateries and the metro rail. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
We stayed in a smaller room; the location was very good, but the king size bed was too firm, it squeaked each time you got on and off and the air-conditioning system clicked 3-4 times each time it went on.

We were given rooms without windows. The internet in my colleagues room did not work well. We were told that they will move us to a room with a window in the morning. In the morning we were told that every one will be relocated to another hotel as there is an emergency in the hotel. We were not told what exactly is the emergency so we left a third colleague in the hotel and we were worried about her as we did not know the nature of the emergency. When we came back to the hotel after a meeting they were not professional on giving us directions to the new hotel and gave us the wrong hotel. When we sent to the new hotel they did not know about us. It wasted one of our precious two days in Georgetown.
